"I thrived in my confidence as a result."
I did Elaine's Foundation course last year and thrived in my confidence as a result [...] The way things have worked out, I now only tutor secondary students up to and including GCSE.

"I really value the support I've received."
Since doing Elaine's foundation course, then higher membership, I've taken on 4 GCSE students (2 foundation, 2 higher). I really value the support I've received along the way and the confidence these courses / groups have given me.

Hi, I'm Elaine and I went from being an MFL teacher with minimal Maths background to a highly successful Maths tutor. I understand the challenges you face and I have a system to help you succeed.

Along the way you will also be introduced to a whole range of resources and activity types, as well as being guided on self-study work to build up your subject knowledge.
Plus exclusive bonuses when you join:

Absolutely - the best way to learn is to get stuck in right away!
Definitely - we will follow a planned programme of how to teach GCSE Foundation Maths, from thinking about the ways to introduce and practise a topic, to the types of mistakes your students will make.
The training is recorded so you can access it at any time. The live sessions will take place on Zoom, and will be a mixture of Q and As, discussions around exam skills and structure, or practical use sessions looking at resources and tools.
Unfortunately not - you will learn some of the content, combined with strategies and resources for teaching it, but we won't be able to cover the entire Foundation GCSE in 12 weeks. I will however guide you to the content you'll need to work through on your own.
Both - all resources and activities can be used for either online or in-person tuition. You’ll see me using a number of online teaching tools and are welcome to have a go yourself!
That depends how long you want to take to complete the course. If you aim to do it in the 3 months, then I would suggest 3 hours a week - one hour for the recorded training, one hour for the live session and an additional hour for pre-reading and any follow up work.
These will be flexible to allow for as many to join as possible. If you are unable to join a session but have a question, then you can send it beforehand and I will record the answer.
Any live sessions that take the form of training will be recorded. General Q and A may not be, depending on the content.
There will also be a private Whatsapp group where everyone can share ideas and ask questions.
You will have the option to join the Pathway as a paid member and you’ll have lifetime access to all the recordings and tasks from the 12 week course.
While it’s inevitable that we will touch on some of the aspects of how to run your own business, such as the types of FB posts and online tools, that is not the aim of this programme, where we will be focussing on how to get going with the actual teaching. Of course, I will be able to direct you to courses that will suit your business needs as well.
